Heritage Home Program

Maintain and repair your older home

Free renovation advice & low-interest loans

The Heritage Home Program helps homeowners maintain and repair their aging home. This includes free renovation advice, contractor recommendations, and access to low-interest loans.

How it works

The Heritage Home Program (HHP) provides homeowners with the tools and resources they need to preserve an aging home. Homes older than 50 years and current on property taxes are eligible for the HHP. Homes don't need to have a historic designation to apply. If qualified, loans may be as low as 3.5%.

Qualifying projects

Most home repair projects qualify. This includes projects like:

  • Painting
  • Kitchen and bath remodeling
  • Electrical work
  • Energy efficiency upgrades
  • Roof replacements
  • Driveways
  • HVAC

Loan Partners

Low-interest loans are made possible by these local lenders:

  • Waterford Bank
  • Genoa Bank
  • First Federal Bank
  • BetterBuildings Northwest Ohio
