Maintain and repair your older home
Free renovation advice & low-interest loans
The Home Preservation Initiative helps homeowners maintain and repair their home. This includes a home visit, free general advice, contractor recommendations, and access to low-interest loans.
Note: The Home Preservation Initiative will be on winter break beginning Wednesday, November 23, 2022 until Friday, March 3, 2023, except for emergency circumstances. HPI home visits will resume on Monday, March 6, 2023 in the order they were received. If we have already completed your home visit, you may continue to submit a loan application during the winter break. Please reach out if you have any questions. Thank you!
How it works
The Home Preservation Initiative (HPI) provides homeowners with the tools and resources they need to preserve their home. Homes in Lucas County that are current on property taxes are eligible for the HPI. Homes don't need to have a historic designation to apply.
